"Death Row" Dogs
I would like to introduce myself to you and let you know more about myself and that I specialize in "Dogs going into Death Row" and rescuing them to give them a second chance.
Most of the dogs come from the Ellensburg shelter where they have a much less population to get adopted out and fostering is so hard to find in such a small city. I am working with a nice group of people who care so much about saving dogs and cats.
I am doing one dog at a time and posting their photo and descriptions.
Been doing great and as I just saved 64 dogs in the past 15 weeks.
Yes they are all in Petfinder but people over look these dogs that are posted because trying to make decisions after looking at 50-100 dogs makes it harder on most people. I like the individual flyers because it gives each dog a special focus and attention. I ask everyone to forward every dog flyer that I send out and tell them to tell their friends to do the same and this method of networking is so very successful.
The dogs from Ellensburg shelter after I carefully screen the people out we have someone who comes over once a week and bring the dog over. We introduce them to the new possible owners and if it does not work out we take them back and work on replacement.
I follow where every single does goes to and call and do home visits.
The deadlines are true and when I need more time, I beg for a few extra days and usually get it. The shelters are so over loaded that they put down dogs every Tuesday at 4 pm. I am in great contact with the shelters and also fundraise, donate and help with every might that I possibly can.
I am the owner of the Rickshaw Restaurant for 29 years located in North Seattle on 105th & Greenwood. Love the business but it was not fulfilling my needs for the love of animals that I have. www.therickshaw.net
Right now, I have a great network of over 1200+ people on my email address and it has been really a wonderful bond connecting people with animals in deep need. I have email connections with Microsoft, Boeing, Sysco, Nintendo, Starbucks and etc. If you have more contacts that I can add on, do let me know.
Networking and asking people who do not want another dog~ they can just do me a huge favor and just forward my pet flyers to everyone on their email list and ask them to forward it on to everyone on their email list and so on and so forth. This network chain must never stop.
If you have some good ideas for me I would love you to share them with me. I just found wonderful homes for Yula, Cowboy, Buddy, Popeye, Gigi, Clay, Bam Bam, Pebbles, Corrie, Jake, Chase, Molly, Fuzz, Freckles and the list goes on and on.
This mission feeds my heart and it truly is a remarkable accomplishment.
I know it is one dog at a time but slowly we can all work together and make a huge difference!
I am also open to a good solid fundraising plan for these shelters that are so old and so poor and in deep need of funding. All your ideas and support would help immensively.
I used to own a wildlife sanctuary in Montana for 6 years.
I also have a non profit organization license to benefit our dog causes.
Perhaps one day we can meet and talk about all the animals that we love.
