While I was driving out to an animal shelter I did not know had closed its doors.
I was looking for a replacement pet on Sunday as I had lost my beloved pug to old age.
While driving I noticed a very small dachund behind a 10 foot
chainlink fence looking lost and frightened so I stopped to check it out.
I could see he had a tag but was unable to get enough of his confidence to
read it so I decided to go check a nearby neighborhood to find the owner.
As I pulled away I saw him struggling to get under the fence to me so I stopped
to help him and took him into the neighborhood to try and locate his owner.
with no luck
I phoned the numbers on his tag and got hold of Ginger's Pet Rescue and his
foster parent Melanie, and after having him for a couple of days I had
grown quite fond of him and him of me.
So I asked about adopting him but I am disabled and on a fixed income
this dog was so ideal for my health issue to get the exercise I need.
I was unable to afford the cost of his rescue but I was so thrilled because
this dog was donated to me by Ginger and I cannot tell you how grateful for
Ginger and her wonderful foundation.
As it turned out, Sprite was united with his best buddy Pepsi and now I have both of them
living a wonderful life together for the rest of their life.
My friend is going to help me with all the vet bills so I am very happy now.
May Ginger be blessed a million times over for her beautiful kind and loving heart.
God Bless Her.
