Dearest Ginger,
I want to THANK YOU with all my heart (and then some!) for rescuing Jimmy from California.
I visited him on Saturday, August 9 and brought him home with me.
He is already responding to his new name, Simon, and is an excellent companion and an absolute JOY in my life.
His Personality: Couch potato, not a water dog, likes people, other dogs, children and even babies. Self assured, calm, loving disposition but spooked by too much noise or chaos, big doors opening and closing and particularly men in doorways. Can sit, heel, almost lay down on command is completely house trained and seldom makes a sound. We're working on "roll over". He sleeps in my bed and sheds very little!
I cannot say enough about foster mom Jeri. She's such a DEAR.
She gave him a foster home that I believe contributed to Simon's well mannered, loving way.
Slowly but surely I will continue to give him more love, work on boundaries, discipline and help him regain confidence and independence that will make him a more balanced dog.
It's an honor to have him in my life.
