Hi Ginger,

Here's "Bandit's" Happy Ending story:

We had lost our 2 precious girl dogs last year to age-related illnesses (arthritis and inflammatory bowel disease) after many happy years together and were very sad. After a few months of moping around, we decided we were ready to open our home and hearts to a new pup and saw "Bandit" on Ginger's website. It was love at 1st sight!

His foster Mom, Cindy, brought him to our house to meet us and we knew he was the one for us. He is a big guy but was very timid and held his head down and ears back at first--would we love him or hurt him? My husband nestled into his fur and Bandit responded with a big slurpy kiss. We rubbed him, gave him cookies, and invited him in the house. Our son said it was his best birthday ever because Cindy said that Bandit could join our family!

Bandit has learned what a dog bed is, that he gets to sleep in a loving boy's room, that he can get love whenever he wants, and there are lots of treats in this house and good food for him too. He knows that now gets to explore many cool things on daily walks such as waves breaking on a shore, sand dunes, big open fields, and walks through woods and neighborhood smells. He also gets to hang out in a large fenced yard when he wants out and will get to know the joys of swimming off Vashon Island at his family's funky beach cabin. In April, he will go to manners classes with his new human Mom and learn how to be part of his human pack. In the meantime, treats and kindness are working in helping him to know what to do.

Lastly, he is learning his new name "Ike," which is called to him in love, acceptance, and joy.

Thank you for sending this wonderful dog our way.

Jaime, Paul and Pauly
